Help! Pinterest Sign Up Event Tag not firing?

Was hoping someone here can help me out!

I am trying to track sign-up conversions on a Thank you page (wordpress) after someone subscribes.  I have the base code firing first then the sign up event.  They both show up in the page's source code, however the Tag Helper browser extension is only tracking the base code.

Any ideas on why the event tag is not tracking even though it's showing up correctly (I think!) in the head section of the source code?

**UPDATE**

So I got ahold of a tag specialist at Pinterest and he said to edit the tag to this:

<script>
pintrk(‘track’, ‘signup’)
</script>

and it worked!  Originally, I just copied the signup code from the tag setup steps on Pinterest which looked like this:
<script>
pintrk('track', 'signup
');
</script>
Apparently, the line break with the quotes was causing the error.  So if anyone runs into this issue, check the line breaks in the tag!  Thank you all for help on this!

@thehalcyonhive  I wish I could offer some insight, it's been a while since I've used conversion tracking. I've had tags interfere with each other, but I'm not sure this is the case.

Have you checked out the Pinterest developer center? Here's an article which may help.

@thehalcyonhive Do you have the code snippet to track conversions on the thank you page that you send people to after someone signs up?

@andrealidesigns Yeah, that screen shot is from the source code on the thank you page.  So it looks like it's there but for some reason only the base code fires but not the sign up event.
