Ad account requires confirmation that my business is GST registered - why?

I've just tried adding my company address details to my ad account, and I'm not allowed to save without ticking a box to confirm that I am GST registered. I can't tick the box because I'm not GST registered! Nor am I required to be, until I hit a certain level of income. So why is this required? Many sole traders are not GST registered.

Thanks Anna

As I'm not required by my government to register for GST, this doesn't work for me. I guess I'll stick with Facebook and Instagram in that case!

Thanks for replying to my question 🙂

Hello @CoconutLandsWorld

Welcome to PBC.

I am so sorry about your situation but unfortunately you do need to register your GST. There is no way around that.

Please 'accept as solution' if this answers your question.

Thank you.
