Domain Mistakenly Flagged - How Long to Return to Normal?

Hi all!

Pinterest recently found that their system mistakenly flagged my domain as low quality, not spam. This was why I was only seeing single figure impressions, no saves and no clicks on any new pins for the past 3 weeks, when I was used to seeing around 5-15k per pin, good saves and clicks etc.

However, my new pins are still showing single digit impressions even though it was fixed 2 days ago. Anyone who's had this or knows about this, how long did it take for your pin engagement to start 'fixing' or return to normal?

Thank you!

- Charlotte

I had this happen to me and was told it should go back to normal within 7-10 days 🙂

I am not sure why it was flagged but it was not supposed to be flagged. This happened during their recent update.

this was two days ago and my traffic has been a little better already 🙂

It seems like it's happened to a lot of people! @allaboutbabyblog Are your new pin impressions back to normal yet?

Interesting... how do you know when this has happened to your domain?

Not yet but it is better and my impressions and monthly viewers are finally going up again instead of just falling and falling xD

@jamesdorrila all of your new pins will have very low impressions no matter what you post or when. Engagement will just drop off overnight. It requires a manual fix, and someone from Pinterest has to unflag your domain for you.

@allaboutbabyblog my monthly viewers have gone up from 2.1m to 2.6m too since unflagging my domain, but all of my new pins still have very low impressions. There's only one pin that randomly spiked and received some traffic.

Do you think it's slowly pushing out the old stuff again, hence why we are seeing an increase in monthly viewers? I can't think of how the monthly viewers are going up if our new pin impressions are low!

@allaboutbabyblog I know! I'm so worried about this. Even though my domain was unflagged, I'm not seeing a difference in impressions on any new pins. My account was growing so fast before it was flagged by mistake! 😞
