Do you have to pay for a Pinterest Tag?

Hi All! I was told by a Pinterest rep that it was free to install the tag on my website but when I went to install it it asked for payment info. I'm confused.

Pinterest will not charge you for installing the Pinterest Tag. Be sure to be using our trusted Help Center to get information about our platform.

yes, it is free to install it the plugin but the add-on which is what you really need, is not free. I guess things have changed in recent times because when I went to add the plugin a couple of weeks ago, it showed on the Pinterest Tag Manager page that you could download it for free, while now it says "buy the add-on"

I'm sorry I don't have a free option to tell you as I couldn't find one yet

It seems that you are referring to the PixelYourSite add-on for Wordpress, that add-on is managed by them.

Pinterest does not charge for the use of the Pinterest Tag as the code and the instructions are freely available on our Help Center.
