Product Pins Showing Incorrect Image and Name

Hello,

We have started experiencing an issue where product pins are pulling through incorrect first images and product names. They seem to be pulling random, unconnected images and defaulting to one particular product. This is shown below.

We have checked the feed on the website and we can see that all of the correct images and product names are matched there but they are not on Pinterest.

We have also noticed that some of the images are not website images, but from the IG feed, is this because we have the IG plugin on site and the images are associated with the domain?

Do you know what might be causing this and how to fix this? Is it a bug?

Thanks!

Hi there @upperdogdigitalagency!

I checked the Pins that you sent and they were created by Pinterest users that used your claimed domain. These Pins were not created through the feed.

When these users were building the Pins they were presented with different images to select. You can check which images are being pulled from your website by going to: Create > Create Pin > Create New > Create Pins from a URL.

I hope this was helpful. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions!

Hi @PinterestIvania

Thank you for your reply - if these are user-generated, why have they pulled through the names and prices of products?

Is it because they are associated with the domain?

They are also all pulling incorrect information, so how do we resolve that?

Thanks!

Hi @upperdogdigitalagency!

Yes, the name and the price of the products are shown because they were made using your claimed domain, so they pulled the information from the website.

Regarding the information that appears not being the correct one, unfortunately we cannot change that considering that the Pins were created by other users.

Let me know if there’s something else I can help you with!
