Setting up Pinterest Conversion API with GTM Server Side

Hi all!

I am looking to set up the Pinterest Conversion API with GTM Server Side using Stape as the server to handle the requests.

I am a front-end developer and have been testing it out and created an small project. It's hard to calculate how long this could take for a big project and if I should outsource it

This is some information about the project:

- Squarespace CMS

- 12 Signup forms

- 2 digital products (sold through Stripe payment links).

- Add to cart will be in a landing page that redirects to Stripe. Upon checkout session completed it redirects to a Squarespace TY page.

Could anyone give me any insights on how long this could take to set up?

Hi @PinAdvertisingMax - this is difficult to answer. In general, the SS-GTM configuration time depends on your experience. For example, if you implemented it before for another vendor (e.g. Meta/Snapchat), then it would be manageable to set in a couple of weeks. But it is hard to ensure that, unfortunately.
Also, it seems you're using a different integrator (stape) which is a third party tool different than the one we recommend here which makes it difficult to estimate the effort needed. You could always reach out to Stape to ask them to integrate with our API for Conversions, as well. It's possible they would prioritize that work if customers were asking them. Best of luck!
