Slow pinterest account growth

smartgymdecisions
Just visiting

Hi guys! So I've been using pinterest for 4 months now and I've been posting 3 idea pins everyday. I know there are a couple of things that we need to get right in order to grow our accounts (pin quality, keyword research...). However my impressions growth has been too slow. I've only 14 followers from organic growth and almost 20 thousand monthly impressions, which is nothing.

My goal is to bring people to my blog and I'm not expecting to have 1 million views, but I wouldn't mind seeing some more action.

So I want to ask you: What do you think I should do?

- Does a follow for follow strategy makes sense in the beginning?

- Commenting on big accounts, in my niche, makes sense? So I can have more visibility?

What do you think I should do?

@smartgymdecisions ,

I'm glad to see you are creating content and working on building your audience.
Before I share some great tips on growing your following, let me answer your questions:

1. Follow for follow is never a good option. First because if you follow people, they most likely won't follow you back. Also, you want followers who are interested in your content and will engage. otherwise they'll be just a number. The following culture on Pinterest is different from other platforms. Follow accounts that have content you are genuinely interested in.

2. Again, Pinterest culture is different than social media. Commenting will not take you far with big accounts. However, commenting and engaging with pins that you are interested is always a great way to connect (not necessarily a growth tactic).

Now here are some resources that we know are proven and work.

I took a look at your account and pins and would love to see you creating pins with pin titles and pin descriptions/notes telling people more about the content of each pin using keywords. I hope this helps!

What she said! 👆 Post high-quality, save-worthy idea/video pins and followers and traffic will come. Slow & steady wins the race...and Pinterest is NOT Instagram or TikTok!

I am having a similar issue and I have noticed that the follow for follow strategy or even the save 5 for you to save 5 doesn’t work and just leads to content I do not want to see or have on my page (mmillerrr) at all. It is a tad frustrating especially putting so much work in but what I’ve learned is to never give up! My main “niche” is fashion but I do also post gym stuff so I just followed you so we can try to support each other in the mean time!
