Happy Friday PBC! 🍷
Let's talk about the Board Covers: are board covers important?
Do Pinterest users even check profiles and if so, do board covers help with branding the profile and positioning the right message?
What do you think, what's your experience with this?
Looking forward to hearing from you 😊
Hi! I'm not sure about the prevalence or importance of board covers. I have noticed that some folks who really like the clean aesthetic are strategic with their board covers. However, I personally enjoy the collected look as it reads a little more authentic to me for some reason. I guess my fav pins serve as my board covers. @co_creatrix
Hi and thank you for your reply!
I have noticed the same, but overall most of the profiles have the collected look, as you mentioned, which I also prefer.
I hope you're enjoying your weekend 😊
Most Pinterest users will never get to your profile to see your board covers (they discover your content in their home and search feeds). Because of that I think it's one of those Pinterest things you can let yourself ignore. Time would be better spent creating fresh Pins 🙂
However, some people really want it for a branding things and for that reason prioritize it.

I like board covers and I encourage students and clients to add them. I think, more and more, Idea pins are driving people to our profiles - so they do land there more these days. Board covers are a way to brand your profile and send the message that you are an expert in your field. But I wouldn't say they should be a high priority. Just a "nice to have." 🙂
