Hoping you can help. We are trying to grow our presence on Pinterest and are unsure of best practice as we are an App. We create Pins that take the viewer to our blog and website, but we are wondering if we are allowed to create Pins that take the viewer directly to the App store? We also want to set up Paid Pins and are wondering what is the best practice for an App (versus e-commerce). We know you can make App download a campaign goal, just wondering if there are any resources on how to do this properly and optimally?
Hi @MamaZenApp! Apologies for the delay in response, hope you're doing well. 🙂 The app install feature is in the process of being removed as a feature from Pinterest. We recognize the value apps play in helping Pinners along their shopping journeys, which is why we're continuing to support advertisers with apps through our current integrations with mobile measurement partners and our in-app conversions capabilities (tracking conversions that occur in-app). Separately, we are actively investing and testing Mobile Deep Links (directing users to a specific location in-app). Hope this helps clarify, and please LMK if you have any other questions.
