Hello PBC friends!
Are you feeling lost when it comes to creating Idea Pins for the Pinterest Creator Rewards Program?
I’ve been there. My name is Tereza Toledo, a Pinterest Pioneer and expert. I’ve been following the rewards program, creating content, submitting to the program and have been successful with getting pins approved.
I would love to help you become more confident when creating Ideas Pins. What I’m going to share with you are 10 things that I’ve observed and helped me create Idea Pins that got approved successfully.
Can I share them with you? If you said yes, keep reading!
I hope this is helpful and would love to hear your own tips!
If you are struggling with coming up with content ideas, let me know and I'll drop another article!
Hi @thecookiecouture !
I'll answer one by one.
1. Title -it's pretty much the name of the idea pin. For example, if I made a pin from this article (I should do one), the title could be "10 Tips for Creating Idea Pins for the Creator Rewards Program". Titles can have up to 100 characters and you should use keywords (main words for your idea) when writing it.
2. Tag - those help Pinterest understand in which category or interest each pin belongs or relates to. You can't copy and paste all at once, they must be added one by one. Depending on your niche, you won't find all words you'd like to use. Stick to the ones that are closest to the pin content.
3. Hashtags - hashtags are not something we traditionally use on Pinterest, and they have been turned off and on before. In the Idea ads webinar broadcasted today, we were told that "hashtags aren't prevalent and not an authentic feature of Pinterest". I don't know for sure how much they'd help.
I hope this helps and I love jicama!
Great tips @terezatoledo ! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Very useful information, thanks @terezatoledo ! On point #9, is the tittle of your idea pin is the more important part for Pinterest to show my pin to other pinners? It has happened to me several times that on the tag section the word that I am looking for does not appear, for example "Jicama", does writing on the description #Jicama will help for the pin to be discover? Does "#" works on Pinterest as in other platforms? Thanks again!
@terezatoledo thank you for keep updating us. Much love !!!!
So helpful Tereza! From the tactics to the mindset, you covered it. So good! @terezatoledo
How do we add tags in the app? I'm using Android and I'm worried I'm missing a big section. YIKES!

Hi @PitterPatterStudio ,
I'm an IOS user and don't know how it works on Android. But, I would not worry if you don't have them at the moment. Focus on your keywords.
I hope this helps.
@terezatoledo You are the best thank you sharing
