Hi PBC!

We’re excited to share our Tips of the Month! Every month we’ll be highlighting tips & tricks that can help you find success on Pinterest. Today we’re highlighting some tips from our Pinterest Pioneers, @heatherfarrisco@thehalcyonhive, and @bodymindmood!

📌 Tip from @heatherfarrisco:

  • When it comes to creating Pinterest Pins for your website, don't go overboard with Pin types. Go for simplicity to start and get really good at making image Pins. Really practice finding keywords to use in your text overlay and practice using that text keyword and imagery that pairs with it. Once you feel good about your Pin design process and publishing, then move on to using video formats and animated Pins.

📌 Tip from @thehalcyonhive:

  • Pinterest board optimization tip! If you have boards that are a broad category and aren't getting much engagement, consider creating additional boards that are niched-down subcategories of those broad boards. For example: if you have a board called "Women's Fashion" - this is a very broad topic and would include all different types of women's outfits. If you are trying to reach an engaged audience, you'll want to take a look at trends.pinterest.com to see what is trending under that category then use those keywords to create new boards. Since it's fall currently, you might want to add a board titled, "Fall Outfits" and create pins for it with keywords like "Fall Date Night Outfits" or "Fall brunch outfit".

📌 Tip from @bodymindmood:

Pinterest Beginners:

  • Change your Board Visibility using the Pinterest Layout Filter on your Pinterest Account - just select the filter button and scroll down to edit board visibility and then toggle whether it's on or off.

Pinterest Intermediate:

  • Change your Pinterest Pins Boards view with one click of the Pinterest filters button - you can change how you view your pins on your boards from Default to Compact and the best part is you only need to do it once. For all pins on all boards.

Pinterest Advanced:

  • Create a Pinterest Widget for your website or other social media project - Click on the ? at the bottom of your Pinterest account page then scroll down to Create a Widget from there click on the hamburger menu and scroll down to Add Ons now all you need to do is decide what kind of widget you want to create. Under Add Ons select which widge you want to use and then copy + paste the code into your site or social media project.

Grateful for the tips. But remember, your readership is global - and t's not 'Fall' everywhere. Only in the northern hemisphere.

I like the idea of making specific boards! My most pinned to board is Style/Hair and it may be helpful for me to niche down and do specific boards. Thanks!

These are great tips from @thehalcyonhive @heatherfarrisco and @bodymindmood.

We love using Pinterest trends to niche down and optimize our boards - it's such a useful resource.
