I created an idea pin with an amazon associate affiliate link (full link, not shortened). I included the "sponsored product" tab, also added text to the description as well. When I click on the link within the idea pin, Pinterest opens the amazon link within its own browser window and in turn loses the affiliate link referral because it does not open the amazon app.
Other than a blog post (which I understand is a good way drive traffic) - am I doing the link incorrectly, is there an easier way to add the link to keep the referral or is that how Pinterest works?
