Product updates

Over the last few months we’ve released several new features and simplified our advertising process to give you more ad options and help you see better results. Check out some of our product updates.

  1. The new Slideshows feature for collection ads provides a way for advertisers to produce lightweight, video-like hero content by displaying product Pins from your catalog as a series of rotating images above your collections ads.
  2. Simplified engagement targeting - As of November 2nd we no longer require advertisers to claim your website before creating an engagement audience. The new simplified engagement targeting allows you to show ads to qualified audiences who’ve previously interacted with your content on Pinterest.
  3. The new Advertiser recommendations page in Ads Manager makes it simple to optimize your ad campaign by offering customized suggestions to help you meet business goals.
  4. Idea pins with paid partnerships are a new type of ad format that include creator produced content that can help to scale content beyond the creator’s following.

Ads formats

Wondering which types of ads work best for you? Consider these popular ads formats.

  1. Shopping Ads are single image ads used to promote products.
  2. Collections Ads appear as a combination of one large, hero asset followed by three smaller, secondary assets.
  3. Carousel Ads feature multiple rotating images and are a great way to showcase different features of a product, advertise multiple products at once, or tell your brand story in chapters.
