I've noticed over the last two weeks that story pin impressions have been down substantially from how my story pins normally perform. I've been following best practice, and have been posting more frequently. Are there updates that I as a creators should be aware of? I want to ensure that my content is performing optimally. Thank you so much!
I have noticed the same thing. I have been applying all the best practices from Pinterest office house and saw a dramatic drop in impressions and engagement over the past few weeks. Willing to adapt to anything new we should we doing! I had shared a similar issue with @thatstylishnerd a few weeks ago and I know he went through a lower period of impressions as well but his rebounded. I thought mine had too but it was only for 1 post and then all my other content stays under 10K compared to the 60K - 150K average I had for months on every story pin
Hey both! @UnconventionalSouthernBelle @mycancerchic Thanks for the tag. Yes similar for me! I am still gaining followers at a similar rate, but experiencing the same with Story Pin engagement. My guess is that maybe since Story Pins are more "common" in the feeds now (whereas before they were quite a new feature) the "market" is more saturated, so harder to get as many impressions? That's my guess, but not sure. Maybe the Pinterest team has some ideas.
@UnconventionalSouthernBelle We've noticed drops as well. I think it's due to a few changes they recently implemented. Here's the link https://community.pinterest.biz/t5/resources/product-release-roundup-for-creators-1/ta-p/14587
They talk about a few different points in the article but here's an excerpt about the story pin reach
"...we are making improvements this month to how we recommend Story Pins to ensure Pinners see content that they may find most engaging and useful, all with a focus on their interests. More specifically, our systems will now respond to how Pinners engage with and take action on Story Pin content, and distribute accordingly. As a result of this change, you may see differences in impressions on future Story Pins you create."
Hi @UnconventionalSouthernBelle @simplepinmedia @thatstylishnerd @mycancerchic ,
I have the same issue since a couple of days and today I received an automated reply which wasn't relevant. I replied the email but still didn't receive a response from Pinterest. Please let us know if any of you found a solution for this. BDW I found this guide https://support.tailwindapp.com/en/articles/3702827-pinterest-best-practices-faq for Pinterest best practices.
