I am hoping you can help me figure this out. I have just realized that SOME of my pins don't click through to my site. The link to my site gives an error that it may lead to spam. Not all my pins have been flagged so I am hoping you can help me with this. Below are some of the pins in question.
Thanks in advance!
Hey @shoshanasue, it does seem confusing that the directory is blocked:
But overall, your domain is fine. I don't see any redirect that could wake up the spam filter.
The best way to move forward is to reach out to support. Choose "Appeals" --> "Pinterest blocked my site" and mention the directory is blocked and not the domain.
You'll need to be patient and a little persistent, I'm sure support has a lot of emails about spam blocking and you may see a 'generic' response at first. Place the links you attached here and a few other links that aren't being stopped by the spam filter explaining the difference.
Feel free to tag me with the progress you are making. Hopefully it will be cleared up soon.
(By the way, I love your Idea Pins you've posted!)
Ok... Now THIS really bothers me.
Considering creators literally have thousands, or tens of thousands of pins, there's no way to know exactly which pins could have been accidentally marked for spam. And no one has the time to go through literally thousands of pins.
And I imagine this spam issue could somehow be related to the impression drop we're experiencing. This really sucks.
Have you been able to resolve it? Also, how did you find out about these spam pins in particular?
Hi, @chillnglow I haven't heard anything from support since I reported the issue. Maybe they will fix it, maybe they won't. I am just tired of fighting this at this point.
I only discovered that the particular URL was blocked when I was trying to schedule pins and I clicked on the pin to grab the link from my site. Purely by accident. But yeah, you might have one or two blocked links that may have flagged your account.
I'm so sorry @shoshanasue
It really sucks that genuine hardworking content creators get their stuff marked as spam, while the actual spam that steals people's content gets to go unpunished, or even worse, thrive.
I have close to 200 posts, and I don't think I have the energy or the motivation to go through each of them at this point to be honest.
Pinterest really needs to do better. Please keep us posted on how it turns out. Best of luck
