I run a blog at lesliewblog.com and Pinterest, as is with most other bloggers, is my #1 driver of traffic.
In June, my account was apparently marked as "spam" and I was told by Pinterest that they would unflag it, mark it as a good standing account, and that my analytics would go back to normal within 48 hours.
Unfortunately, that has not been the case. My analytics NEVER went back to normal. I am still seeing 0-1 impressions per pin and NO link clicks.
I have contacted Pinterest MULTIPLE times, including FOUR TIMES in the past MONTH alone, and I have either a) not received a response from them or b) received a response about creating "better pins."
I have created amazing pins lately - I have even had a Pinterest expert look over my pins and account and she said it should be getting traction like I used to, but it isn't.
Pinterest, what gives? When will you reinstate my account and unflag it as spam?
As I tell Pinterest in every email, this is my business and LIVELIHOOD that is being affected. We are already in some of the worst times, and to experience this on top of it is just not okay.
I need someone from Pinterest to respond to me and tell me that they will UNFLAG my account.
Can someone please help me in getting this to happen? I just don't know what to do anymore.
Thank you all SO much. Don't know where I'd be without the support of this community.
@lesliew1923 @PinterestGabby @PinterestJanice Hi there - I am sorry your having these problems. Firstly, you have definitely come to the right place for help, Secondly, know that most if not all of us have experienced similar problems in one form or another so we all understand. I have tagged 2 Community Managers Gabby and Janice who are both really great at getting you to the right person if you have your reference# from Support you may need to give to it to one of them so that they can help you - I realize its frustrating but hang tight it will get resolved. they may take a little time getting back to you but only because they are busy helping others in similar situations as your's. I really hope this will make you feel better and that you are being heard. Lisa😁
Hi Leslie! I can confirm there are no flags on your account. I verified this with a specialist just to make 10000% sure before I replied. You also mentioned that your traffic was still down. I am adding your account to a list I am maintaining of these types of reports (flagged accounts that were unflagged but traffic hasn't rebounded) to escalate further.
@PinterestJanice @lesliew1923 Hi there thanks for responding Janice it was really great of you to do it so quickly - I believe Leslie left another post in the Business Chat Pinterest WON'T Respond to My EMAILS & Account STILL Marked as SPAM After 2 MONTHS you may want to paste your response there as well. Lisa😁
Hi Karo, thanks for your patience with us. I also want to compliment you on the excellent documentation you provided to make sure we understood what you were seeing on your end. I can share with you that I verified with a specialist your account has been added to the safelist (as of today). Please check in again and let us know if you begin to see changes / no change. Thanks for being here on the community, we appreciate having you around. 🙂
I was told that my account was hit by a bug in the spam filter upon noticing a decline in my Pinterest traffic.
Most (but not all) of my top ranking pins vanished completely from the search results and any pins that get re-pinned by other users only show on my iPhone notifications and not in my Pinterest analytics. My traffic is down of course and I don't know what's going on.
I have been emailing Pinterest but the only replies I got were: yes, there is a bug in the spam filter that wrongfully flagged your account as spam and the second email said there was nothing wrong and that "it can take up to four days to rank". My pins are many months old! I do not believe that rep fully read or understood my issue - v frustrating. Then they stopped replying.
My account has still not been fixed so I do not know if I should continue pinning new pins, wait until it is resolved (if it ever will be), or open a new account (although that can also be affected!).
Can someone please help me! I would greatly appreciate it! And I promise that my pins and content are good quality! many thanks in advance.
So happy to hear from you and thanks!
Kindly check if this is the correct ticket number: #204921, which i extracted from below:
"Your request (204921) has been received and is being reviewed by our team. We'll be in touch within 1-3 business days! To add additional comments, reply to this email."
Kindly advise, and I shall look for it if the above is not the correct reference
Hello Janice ( @PinterestJanice ),
thank you so very much for looking into this. You've made my day. 🤗
I will let you know if anything changes or not. I will give it a week or so.
I am glad to be a part of Pinterest community! My favorite place to be on the internet ❤️.
Sending you my best wishes and hugs.🤗
P. S. Loving the profile pic!
@PinterestGabby Here is an example of what I am talking about:
You will notice the story pin drops from 19,000 impressions to 8000 impressions. The first photo was taken 8/25 and the second photo was take 8/27. This happens all the time. As I've explained this many times to the help desk, but I'm tired of explaining it. It's been going on for months. Meanwhile my audience is 40% of what it was this time last year. Is there any chance the help desk can actually fix this and stop blowing me off? I'd just prefer honesty at this point. I don't even want to fill out a ticket anymore since they keep closing out the tickets I filled out. It is a complete waste of my time to fill out a ticket email back and forth for a month, resubmit data, and just have the ticket closed. I already have a ticket number from way back, they should be able to reopen that and solve the problem. I was told the help desk would fix my account by August back in May. I'm pretty sure I've waited long enough. Thanks for your help. I simply don't understand why I am being targeted or why this problem with not be fixed. This seems to go complete against Pinterest's state mission to treat everyone fairly.
