I filed a ticket but i got the usual message from their side. It is as follows:-

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Our team has reviewed your request, and it doesn’t look like your account needs to be verified at this time.

Verification on Pinterest isn’t about the importance of a brand, and it doesn’t help boost popularity. Instead, it’s used for certain brands and people that are likely to have authenticity or impersonation issues.

Let me know if you need anything else in the meantime!

Thanks, I'm adding more to my feed to be in compliance with all - will try again in a bit and see what happens! 🙂 

However, if it's primarily about authenticity and impersonation issues then that should be stated up front and you should let people know that it's reserved for those individuals only.
