Hi there! Here's an excerpt from one of the articles in this community:

"My business is located outside of the United States, can I apply to the Verified Merchant Program?

As of Q3 2020, the VMP Program is only open to businesses located in the US. We have plans to expand to businesses in other countries in the future and will be sure to keep businesses informed when we have expansion updates to share.

In the meantime, you can take advantage of the following features available in international markets:

I think it's going to take some time before they branch out to other countries until they work out andy kinks and improve systems.
@PinterestBrad is in the community to help for VMP questions but I'm pretty sure this is the answer for now.

@simplepinmedia Hi there Shopify has options for Stores selling in Europe | Australia & other countries to open an additional 'Store' for shipping and purchasing in the US and Canada which if I read correctly would enable someone to add the Shopify Pinterest App that is why I asked because it appears if your selling to additional country other than France then you can install the app.

App Compatibility

Please see the examples presented by Shopify - the company is located in Australia and sells | ships to the US and Canada it does provide the Pinterest Hover Symbol et al. Lisa

@simplepinmedia No worries I noticed that Shopify sort of expects the person to pay for an additional domain and site in order to utilize the Pinterest App (if I understood) - I don't use Shopify I use Squarespace. Its tricky Lisa😁

Shoutout to @simplepinmedia @realsouthamerica for contributing info here!

Combining all of your comments helps the situation a bit more for @pedimaxx1 since she's using Shopify and is based in France.

  1. The Pinterest App for Shopify is currently only available for US & Canada Merchants
  2. The Verified Merchant Program on Pinterest is only open to US based Merchants

Shopify merchants based outside of US/Canada can attempt to manually implement the Feed & Tag now if you'd like to get started with catalogs and conversion tracking in Pinterest, but you won't be able to apply for the VMP badge until the program expands to your location.

Right now, we don't have any timelines for VMP or Pinterest/Shopify App compatibility expansion, but I'll be sure to post an update to the Community whenever we have something to share!

@PinterestBrad Hello....thanks that's good to know in the event anyone else asks I can share your reply re Feed & Tag - to be honest Shopify doesn't really make that clear on their site .... perhaps a little misleading? There was a sense that she expected it to be available. I would ask if you happen to be in contact with Shopify that perhaps they make that information available to those who are in other countries. Thanks Lisa😁
