I have a pin that is seasonal and has been shared a lot lately.
I just wrote a completely new post that would fit the pin better than the old URL.
When I change the link on mobile it saves it but still directs people to the old URL when clicking on the pin.
Hi there I actually just did this yesterday to a bunch of pins on desktop and it was fine you should just be able to click Edit Pin and then change the URL and then Save. I have not done it from Mobile only desktop (Chrome).
@bodymindmood It didn't let me change it on desktop only on the phone xD
I saw now that the link from the original pin is changed but repins from other people are with the old link...oh well at least new repins will have the correct link xD
Something to consider: I recall that if you change the URL of an old pin, the views/impressions go back to 0. I am not sure if this is still the case but if it is, it would render a good pin useless... Would suggest that you use Canva to make a new PIN to direct to the new article using the same imagery but with different Call to Action or frame so that it is seen as 'new image'/fresh content. Good luck.
