Hi Everyone!
I'm having an issue with Rich Pins and was wondering if anyone else experiences this or has a potential solution.
I'm a food/recipe blogger, so I depend on Rich Pins to show the ingredients from the recipe card plugin on my site. I notice however, if I edit the recipe card and create a new pin, the old ingredient information shows up. I can't seem to get Rich Pins to update with the latest revision of my recipe.
I've tried letting time pass before pinning, I've cleared cache before pinning...but it continues to pull in the old ingredient information.
This is really frustrating because I just had to fix a typo in the recipe (change baking soda to baking powder) and now I can't get the correction of 'baking powder' to show in Rich Pins, it sill shows 'baking soda'. I feel like this is really misleading to users and I'd love to be able to fix it!
Hope that all makes sense, thank you!!
Hi @owlbaking! Are you able to share an example of a Pin you're having issues with? Feel free to send a PM if you're more comfortable and we'll help troubleshoot.
Thank you so much for the reply @PinterestGabby ! I'll PM you 🙂
Checking the URL in the Rich Pins Validator and rescraping usually updates Pinterest's cached data for that link, including rich data like recipe details.
Thanks for the tip @darciefyi ! I wasn't aware we could check that on our own- I'll try that for the ones have incorrect/missing info.
