Hi everyone,
I see a lot of people had the same issue but I have not been able to find a solution: I have added the HTML tag on my WP site and I keep getting the no relevant tag found message.
My website URL starts with https (with an S after "http") but on my Pinterest settings it is http (without the S) and no matter how many times I try to change it back to https, Pinterest will not save it with an "s". I am wondering if that could be a reason why I can't claim my website and if anyone can help me with the issue?
Thank you so much in advance.
Hi @zesquare! Welcome to the PBC!
I don't think having "https" vs "http" would make any difference. They both resolve to "https".
I can't find the "p:domain_verify" on your website. How did you insert the code? Here is a good article that covers the how-to on claiming your site, including adding a DNS txt record at your DNS provider (in your case I believe it will be bluehost.com) or uploading a custom HTML page.
You should check out the "Claim Your Site Workshop" this Thursday (1-27-22) if you can make it. I hope this helps you.
Hi @michaelbliss, thank you for your reply! I added it via jetpack's site verification tool and I finally was able not to get the "no relevant tag found" message. I am now waiting for the website to be verified or claimed. It's been a couple hours now and nothing has happened. Do you know what is a normal waiting time for a site to be claimed?
Thanks again for your help!
@zesquare It could take a little while for the Pinterest crawler to visit the site, I don't think a couple of hours is unusual and nothing to be too concerned about.
