Pinterest tech support ignores - Merchant Rejected

Please help! Pinterest support refuses to help me and I can't resolve the catalog issue. I don't know where to turn, I'm desperate. I successfully cooperated with pinterest for more than six months, my store on the shopify platform was approved and there were no problems. Then one day my catalog was rejected without explanation! I wrote about 10 emails asking to reconsider the problem, trying to explain that it was a technical error, but Pinterest support responds to me with automatically generated emails that cannot help. I also tried to find out what I need to fix on the site, but did not receive any clarifications. I ask please help me, contact me, I want to talk to a live person and hear about the problems on the site! It is very important for me.

Thanks for your reply! I apologize for my delayed response.

At this point I am just exhausted with trying to get through to someone who will actually look into the issue at hand. I desperately want my verified merchant status back. My latest attempt was this morning, I actually removed all 1k plus products from my Pinterest product catalog and manually added in around 40. I added in a handful of robes and pajamas that are full coverage items and cannot possible be misconstrued as policy violators, yet once again when I filed an appeal they hit me with the "your business was not verified because it does not follow our policy on prohibited products pertaining to adult products". And when I explain to them that my catalog clearly has not been synced since October 18th they just ignore it. I don't know what to do at this point, and I am frustrated. My Pinterest has taken a nose dive from over 1 million monthly views to below 2 thousand. My website views and sales have plummeted as well, this has hurt me in many ways and I am trying so hard to recover.

I read your post and I will have a look at your site.

Can you give me the URL - also when I reply back I would ask that you note the following as I don't want to give the wrong impression to anyone but I certainly don't mind looking at your site. I know it can be frustrating but sometimes you need to go "down the list" to figure out the problem because just like you its not always clear to me either.

Please note that I do not work for Pinterest - I am providing a response based on my review of your website against the current Pinterest Merchant Guidelines and my past experience and knowledge as a Corporate Law Clerk. I never promise favorable results, your verified status rests entirely with Pinterest and is at their discretion. I always advise every Merchant to review the Merchant Guidelines + all other guidelines listed within the Merchant Guidelines.

I look forward to your response.

@bodymindmood Thank you. I will definitely go down the list. I have done so with their replies as well. They specifically say that I am violating guidelines on prohibited products relating to "adult products, yet this makes zero sense as the following is pulled directly from the "prohibited product adult content" section in their guidelines.

"Adult and nudity content

We don’t allow the advertising of:

  • word removed per Community Guidelines
  • Products in the shape of certain body parts (genitals, butts, or female breasts)
  • Adult or pornographic videos, publications, live shows
  • Sexual enhancement products
  • Services that provide casual sex, international matchmaking or escorts
  • Implied sexual activity (clothed or unclothed)
  • The objectification of a person in a sexual manner to sell a product or service

We also don't allow:

  • Nudity or implied nudity (such as blurred out images and illustrations)
  • Implied sexual activity (clothed or unclothed)
  • Any focus on certain body parts (genitals, pubic hair, male or female butts and female breasts)

You can advertise modeled clothing such as bathing suits and word removed per Community Guidelines, as long as the products aren't adult-themed or overtly sexual. However, we don’t allow any imagery featuring minors in underwear and we don't allow imagery featuring minors in swimsuits unless accompanied by adults in the image."

I follow this to a T which is why I am at such a loss. Not to mention that i can name 20 brands off the top of my head that are still verified merchants in my same niche, and I could find dozens more within ten minutes of searching, many of which are actually in violation. It is maddening.

Hi

I had a look at your site and the site looked great.

I would definitely remove any pop ups re email et al. on the home page & consider removing the scroll at the bottom at least until you are able to get your status back.

As for the pictures they are provocative and I can see why Pinterest was so specific on what they wrote to you.

There are a number of pictures that for example when you move your mouse over the picture you are then able to see the back but in a lot of them you see too much - if possible some of those pics should be replaced with other ones that aren’t so specific…if you know what I mean.

The majority of the pictures on your site are suggestive and fall into the category of “overtly sexual” and have a sexual tone which even if its not intended could be misunderstood.

Is there a way to to do the photos sans the overtly sexual?

I look forward to hearing back from you and I hope this helps you.

@bodymindmood Hello! I’m new to Pinterest and I have a dropshipping website, I re-sell beauty products. I noticed in the guidelines that you can’t re-sell products? Does that mean you can only have a catalog on Pinterest if you sell your own branded/made products?  My catalog got denied but the reasons they put for my explanation were;

1) Ensure that your shipping policy is clearly visible and easy to find on your website

2) ensure that your return policy is easy to find on your website. I’d you don’t accept returns, this must be clearly stated as well

3) ensure that your domain has an authentic‘about us’ section, functional media link and up to date contact information

Just wondering if I should bother trying to fix these issues or if they will just never approve me based on my store type.
Thanks for any help!
