Hello,

I am desperatly tryinng to add rich pins products on my pinterest but the informations are very confusing and sometimes even different from one page to an other. It seems that it was much easier to set up before but I don't find any clear recent tuto on how to do it today. All of them are presenting the previous set up with the validatore... Can someone help me please ?

Hi @volubilparis, welcome to the PBC! 🙂

Currently, the validator is no longer necessary to for the creation of Rich Pins. Rich Pins sync info for recipes, articles or products from your website directly to your Pins. You'll only need to add the correct meta tags to your website pages. Please see here for more information on creating a rich Pin.

Hello, thank you for your answer but on the link you just gave me, it is written : "If you are using a Shopify website, then your page already has the correct metadata and is ready for validation."

And I have a shopify, so in this case, my rich pin should appear automatically on my pinterest profil or ? Because it is empty now... Thank you for your help I am lost.

Hi @volubilparis, the Rich Pins don't appear automatically on your profile, you still need to create it by saving from the website.

I’d love to help out with this. Do you mind providing a bit more information so I can better assist you? Any link as an example will help.

Thank you, looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for your help Fernanda,

I didn't find this information anywhere (that I have to create it myself), that's ok but the informations are very not clear at all. Why don't you do a tuto video that will be so helpful ! Could you also confirm I don't have to add any code on my shopify ?

So on my shopify, I have set up the "pin it" button, so If I get it well, I can pin the pictures of my website and that will create a rich pin on my pinterest profil right ?

Hi @volubilparis. There is no need to manually enable Rich Pins. The Rich Pin information is now automatically taken from your website. When you manually add the title and description to your Pins, Pinterest will keep the information you've added to the Pin and not the metadata coming from your website.

In order to receive the metadata on your Pins, you can create the Pin by clicking the "Save from URL" button in the Pin creation process.

After adding your link, you can publish the Pin without adding no other information. When viewing the Pin, you'll see the Rich Pin information has been automatically pulled from your website. You can check the full info here on this Help Center article.

Give us a shout if you need anything!

Hello Fernanda,

Thank you for your help, it is a little bit clearer now. However (sorry an other question) : when I follow your process and go to save from the url, only 2 picture appear as proposal... I guess something is wrong 😩 do you have an idea ?
