Hi dear peers,

I have been trying to claim ETSY on Pinterest for 5 days, but every time it shows an error box and says "

Sorry. We’ve let our engineers know."

Is there an issue with Pinterest website or my account?

Thank you for your information and help.

Hi all!

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to claim your Etsy store on Pinterest. You can learn more about claiming social accounts on this Help Center article.

Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions!

Hi there!

Claiming your ETSY shop on Pinterest helps you to track your Etsy Shop analytics. Since claiming Etsy Shops is relatively new, some errors may occur during claiming it on Pinterest.

To claim your Etsy Shop on Pinterest you should do the following steps:
Go to Pinterest account settings, then click Claim in the left-side navigation, and then click the red Claim button next to Etsy.

Log into your Etsy shop. Confirm that you want to connect Pinterest to your Etsy shop by clicking the blue Allow Access button.

Your Etsy shop should be claimed on Pinterest!

If not, check this link to find out more: https://help.pinterest.com/en/business/article/account-claiming

Dear Yegana,

Thank you so much for your reply. I do as the same you mentioned. I did it many times but still I receive the error message. I read the link in your message, it couldn't help me.

Is there any e-mail or other contact information that I can reach technical support of Pinterest?

I wish success for you.

Marzieh

Hey @ravillaexport

I have been facing the same issue for the last month, but the problem persists.....have you found any solution yet?

Hi @mashionprints

Unfortunately no. It got worst. Now there is no ETSY option anymore on claim page.  Some other pinners also have the same problem. I think we should wait until Pinterest resolve the problem.

@PinterestDavid thank you for the help, David.

@ravillaexport @mashionprints I advice you to wait a little bit longer then try again. Maybe there are some updates or technical problems. Support team would help you soon.

This is the same exact problem I am having!!!  There isn't even an OPTION to claim my Etsy Shop!  Or I get a pop-up to "copy html" code.  I've pasted the code everywhere I can in my Etsy shop and still not able to verify!!  Been trying for hours for the last 3 days.  Wasted a ton of my weekend! 😞

For now, the workaround I am using is I added a board to Pinterest name "For Sale on Etsy".  I then went to my Etsy account and found the listing I wanted to share to Pinterest and clicked the "save" icon next to the Pinterest "P" icon and saved the pin to my "For Sale on Etsy" board.

You may need to add Pinterest to your Social Accounts in Shop Manager by clicking on "Marketing" then "social media" then at the top right look for "social accounts" and connect Pinterest to your account.

It's a terrible workaround and once the item sells, the link dies and if someone clicks on it they get a "this is sold but take a look at these other shops" message, but its the best I can do for now. 😞

At least I know I am not the only one with this issue!!!  Which means there are probably thousands more out there.  So @PinterestDavid , how about Pinterest get on the ball here and deliver on what they advertise to is users!  Thank you!

I'm having the same problem, I had my accounts connected, then magically they were disconnected... For a week I've been trying to do it again, I tried by all means, just like you. ThroughTheCamerasEyeLLC @ravillaexport Not only does it not let me with etsy, but I don't see the option with ANY other account. At last I was able to communicate with the technical service or some 'human' that answers me and this is what I got:

Message 1: "We're always testing new things internally at Pinterest. What you're experiencing with Etsy's claim settings feature is going as expected. While we can't go back to the old format of being able to claim an Etsy account through a Pinterest account, we really appreciate your message."

Since I didn't understand the solution he proposed to my problem, I asked him: "So, you CANNOT join the pinterest account to etsy? And, if necessary, to any other account, because no other option appears for me to join accounts. Is that expected, that it doesn't join with any accounts?"

Message 2: "That's correct, at this time it is not possible for users to claim an Instagram, Etsy, or YouTube account to a Pinterest account. This is expected behavior."

I hope it works for you...for me it's terrible. Firstly because they offer you something that doesn't work, not even following the steps on their own support page, then because communicating with them is hell and finally because of their vague answer: 'it works as expected' for whom? @PinterestDavid For me, for us, apparently not... because I think all of us were wanting to make cross-platform integration work. A sadness..
