Hello everyone!
I recently added a new product on my WooCommerce site. Till now, the new product was updated automatically on pinterest without any issue. But this time, in the new product, I am getting an error in Pinterest catalogue.
The Error says that the "Check for any issues with your image_link values' URL formatting or your hosting site before your next update."
The main image of the product cannot be found.
I checked the link in the feed file. It is redirecting me to the image without any issue.
What to do in this issue?
Thanks,
Pratik
@PMLogosDesigns Hi Pratik!
This error message usually happens when we are unable to reach the image_link. Even though the images are fully accessible through a normal browser, our crawler is being blocked from accessing the files.
Please make sure that your website is not blocking our crawler in any way. You can use the following Help Center article about the Pinterest Crawler: https://help.pinterest.com/en/business/article/pinterest-crawler
Give us a shout if you have any other questions!
Thank you for sharing the information.
I talked to my hosting provider, and they shared that nothing is being blocked on my website.
I recently installed a two-factor verification Plugin on my WordPress website, called "WP 2FA". Can this plugin block the crawler?
Thanks,
Pratik
@PMLogosDesigns Hi Pratik!
Unfortunately, we don't have that information, I would recommend contacting the Plugin developer.
I hope you can solve this, feel free to contact us if you need help with anything else!
Alright thank you.
I checked the article, and I don't know which section of the article I should refer to.
Can you help me which part of the article I should follow to solve the issue?
Thanks,
Pratik
@PMLogosDesigns Hi Pratik!
One way of making sure your website is not blocking the crawler is by allowing the Pinterest Crawler to access your website by setting a rule on your robots.txt file.
The Set multiple robots.txt parameters section has instructions on how to do it, you can check it by going here.
Let me know if there’s something else I can help you with!
Alright. I will try the steps and wait till the next update.
I will get back to you tomorrow if the issue still persists.
Thanks,
Pratik
Hello @PinterestIvania,
I checked the robots.txt files.
The file currently gives access to everything.
I also checked back with my hosting provider as well.
They said my site is not blocking any crawler at all.
It suddenly didn't find the main image of the product.
Last product was added without any issue.
Please help. I need to run ad on that pin.
Thanks,
Pratik
