How to start your Pinterest content?

I’m new to content creating and I want to start a Pinterest account related to the things I like! I’ve found a bunch of tiktoks with people starting up their Pinterest accounts and I feel like now is the time to do it. I love makeup, travel, and I’m a recent college graduate. Hi, @rhianohn28! Welcome to the PBC. I love that you are starting up a Pinterest presence! 

One good place to start would be to define your "purpose" on the platform. Are you going to just use it for personal use (creative outlet, curating ideas, etc)? Or are you going to use the platform to grow a business? 

Give it a think and let us know. Knowing your goals will help you be more intentional - and will also help others (like us here!) give you more tailored suggestions. 

In terms of engagement, you'll find a lot of good tips in the PBC. But start with thinking about who your audience will be... and think about ways to create ideas on Pinterest that are useful to them. People come to Pinterest looking for ideas to do, try, and buy. So if you can share actionable ideas, that will help a lot with engagement.
