No longer need to apply for Rich Pins?

We had a question come in that we're scratching our heads on. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Someone in our community was told by Pinterest support that they no longer need to apply to enable rich Pins. Is this true?

Sorry for the confusion, thanks for flagging! Looks like the article needs updating 👀 - you can disregard that part as that step is no longer necessary. @simplepinmedia

@simplepinmedia  I believe some platforms have rich pin functionality ready to go, such as Tumblr for example, but it seems you will need to validate at least one pin to make sure the metadata is correct.

I haven't noticed any changes in the developer rich pin documentation lately.

Yeah, we're not seeing any indication that that step has changed, either. Thanks, friends! @bodymindmood @michaelbliss

Hi Tabby! Following up to confirm this response from support. As long as you have a business account setup there's no need to apply for rich pins (more info here). Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any questions. @simplepinmedia

Hey @PinterestJazmin thanks for checking on this! I think it's confusing to us because of this line

Maybe we aren't understanding correctly? Or is it just semantics?
