Hello!  I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Melinda and I created Picky Eaters – Unite! This is a new place to find and share recipes plus more! Recipes are also available on my Facebook and website blog pages.  🙂

I'm so happy to be here with all of you. I am aiming to grow my Pinterest account and I am looking for tips, tricks, and advice on how to do so .  I would love to hear about other pinner's experiences on how they’ve done it so far. I am excited about hearing and learning from all of your experiences.

Thank you

Hello @PickyEatersUnite and welcome to the PBC!

I visited your page. It's always the first thing I do when auditing accounts.

1. I see you've done quite a bit of pinning since you started...looks like five weeks ago. The first thing I will tell you is that ONLY pin your own content. There is zero benefit in saving other's content.

2. Pinterest is a search engine. I noticed that many of your board are not properly optimized. Work on those first.

In addition some of your board titles will never rank high in search. You need to use the Pinterest language. So for example this board below will never get found because Pinners will not search for MISCELLANEOUS.

It's vital that you use the right keywords for your board titles because it will help your individual pins get found in search.

3. Claim your website to get access to analytics for the Pins you publish from your site, as well as the analytics on Pins that other people create from your site. Without claiming and verifying your website, all content you save will be considered saved content, and will not be highlighted in your Analytics Overview page.

4. Create more Idea Pins

5. Choose better board covers. Avoid choosing image with text like the one below.

6. You need to keep blogging so that you can pin your own content instead of pinning others. In addition you need to get traffic back to your website. If you really don't want to blog then you'll need to supplement your marketing efforts with Pinterest ads. Either way you gotta put in the time.

I can go on forever with tips but if you can do all the above first would be great, then come back and we'd be more than happy to answer more of your questions.

I hope you found that helpful.
