Search visibility, pin performance suddenly drops to zero, looks like manual knob turning

Hello creators and Pinterest support,

We have been on Pinterest for years now. Never saw an account behavior like this before. For more than a year, our account performance has been going through a particular loop. What is actually happening is, the entire account performance will drop to zero within a day or two and it will take more than a month for our pins to show some performance again. And within the next week or two, the same thing will happen. 

Please note that our work has been steady throughout this period!

Do you also think Pinterest is manually turning the knob down on accounts?

Does anyone of you also have come across similar situations?

Just like our users' interests evolve, we can expect the distribution of content to see natural ups and downs as well. Thanks Fernanda for those insights and the blog post you shared! However, as a creator on Pinterest for 11 years, I can understand the natural fluctuations resulting from user interests, seasonality, and other factors like updates to the algorithm.

While all the above-mentioned factors always have an impact, here is why I feel our case is a bit different:

1. Ebbs and flows are natural with any search engine, and Pinterest is not an exception. But account suddenly like going offline isn't. And it's never normal if this happens every month.

2. In the case of our account, there is a solid un-natural behavior that repeats itself every month (it's almost guaranteed).

I would love to look forward to figure out if there is any particular issue with our account. Thanks again!
