Partnerships and Affiliate question

When posting a idea pin, do I have to select the Paid partnership for an affiliate product? Or are paid partnerships considered different from affiliate products?

I know I have to say that it is an affiliate product, but am not sure if I need both.

Thank you

Hello @FashionPolice_911, and welcome to the Community!

The Paid Partnership tool is a feature that lets you tag a brand you have a sponsorship or branded content relationship with. The paid partnership tool is a way to disclose any paid branded relationships directly in your Pins!

Before using this tool, make sure that the brand you are tagging is on Pinterest. Note that these partnerships are already established by the creator and brand outside of the platform.

Check out our Help Center article for more information on how to use the Paid Partnership tool.

Regarding the use of affiliate links, there are two ways to add links to Pins. First is through product tagging and second is directly through the details section of your Pins. Links alone do not offer monetization; creator must have an existing partnership with an affiliate merchant and utilize affiliate links. Commission to depend on existing terms with the 3rd party merchant.
