Where to find Product ID - Shopify

Ah, I didn't realize you were in the UK. Right now, the Shopify App is still only available for customers in the US & Canada - we hope to expand to other countries in early 2021 but no clear timeline as of today.

Without the app integration, you would need to manually share the link for your product feed within your Pinterest account: Ads > Catalog. This help center post from Shopify shares more info for how to find/create the URL for your Shopify feed in order to place within Pinterest manually.

This article describes how to manually implement the required events and product_id tracking on your site in order to meet the Pinterest Tag health requirements.

If you're able to meet the minimum requirements for Feed/Tag health, then you can submit your account here for final review before joining the VMP program.

So, I went back yesterday and completed the tasks as you advised above However, today the Pinterest Health hasn't changed and it is now showing issues with the catalogue. Please can you help me remedy these issues as I have no clue. 

Is there a Live Chat service Pinterest can offer? It's getting urgent now. Thanks

We don't have a live chat feature at this time, but I can see that you've created a ticket and are working with our team. I would keep the focus there and work with the technical specialist since you're able to share account specifics with them in that format for the best troubleshooting.

In general, the .atom version of the file "should" work as the help center link from Shopify described, but it's not 100% accurate xml formatting that Pinterest requires, which is why we've developed the Shopify app. If this doesn't work, the other alternative would be to create a manual version of your feed via xml/csv and then upload a link to that file...this would require that you manually update the link when items in your feed change (i.e. availability, price, sale, etc)

I am not receiving the help I need from the support team. I reached out to them (as I did here on this forum) for assistance troubleshooting with the issues I mentioned here. Hi, thanks for your answer, but me and tons of other shop owners on shopify have problem with catalog connection and tag issue with product ID.

The Pinterest self-help documents somewhat are annoying as they are outdated. I follow the guidance then didn't find the fields mentioned in the document. Then I was literally stuck.

The error message was another annoying. Got the same message every time the catalog connection was failed. Don't know why nor how to fix it. Even when I sent emails to ask for help from Pinterest officer, I got the same reply every-time! No help at all.

the automatically pinterest tag connection has so many problems.

Hi @karen_whitworth, hope you're well! Been awhile since I've heard from you. 🙂 Is the issue you're running into with the tag saying your product ID is missing? Have you tried locating the product ID from your Pinterest tag via the Pinterest tag helper? Let me know.

Hi @PinterestGabby ! 🙂 Yes... Hope you are doing good! I popped back in to see if the Verified Merchant Program had any ubdates regarding the phantom rejections and stumbled upon this thread while I was here.

My Tag health has always been somewhat buggy in that it rarely has all green checks. The orange diamonds seem to haunt my account randomly. The most recent iteration is attached. 🙂 It says "Overall Health" is good. But I am worried something like this ID issue may be contributing to my VM woes.
