@bodymindmood I forgot to ask, do you know if you can have a "shop" tab on your pinterest page without being a verified merchant? It seems they are connected, like I thought you get the tab after you are approved, but I have seen people with just the "shop" and not the check mark verification. Thank you!
Hi @studiojru you have to upload your catalogs first before you apply for the verified merchant program
if you're using Shopify you can use their App to upload them directly to you Pinterest (the app is now available in the US and Canada)

Hi @shimouva. I do have the Shopify Pinterest App. But when it comes to "connecting catalog", that is where I get the message "Merchant's information is incomplete or plagiarized." So I have to be approved before I can connect the catalog. But I have done everything through the App that I could.
Having the same issue. I have read the requirements. I cannot see any incomplete data or data that was not written be myself. They never give specifics only vague lengthy policy answers. It must be a bot flagging the accounts since support can not answer in a simple & specific manner. I am currently dealing with Google, FB, Instagram & Pinterest & they all are super frustrating.
To update anyone following or looking at this thread. I was finally approved and I am pretty sure it came down to the contact email I was using. I was using my local email address. Once I changed it to match my website (website: StudioJRU.com email: firstname.lastname@example.org) I was approved. Still waiting for the shop button to appear, but it says merchant account is approved. Hope this helps someone else!

That's great to hear you were approved! I am having the same issue. My account keeps being rejected because of "Merchant's information is incomplete or plagiarized" and I cannot understand why?!! I added my phone number, live chat. I do not have an email address listed on my "contact us" page, but it's included in my shipping policy and my returns policy. On my contact us page, I have it listed to send me a message...maybe I should include my email address? This is so frustrating!!!

@laurakfashionwhat are you using for an email address? It is like a hotmail or gmail, something like that? I was using our local server. I made a lot of changes, but the one I did before being accepted was make a new email address that was the same as my business name/website. So instead of studiojru @ ..... .net, it is now hello @ studiojru . com
