total # of comments on a pin does not increase when comments are added daily

I've noticed for my most popular pins, the ones that get comments every day, the total number of comments never changes. The pin always shows 50 comments. And unless I click on the comment on the engagement tab, I can't find the comment. Meaning that if I go directly to the pin, the comment is missing. Does Pinterest limit the number of comments on a pin?

Here is one of the pins in question: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/686587905672873633/

@PinterestGabby  This issue remains unresolved. Can you look into it?

@theburntsunsetnovel Hey Chris! Apologies for the late follow-up here.

We may take down comments that violate our Community Guidelines, including comments that use insulting language, are hateful or shaming, or irrelevant to the content of the pin.  We also use an algorithm to identify potentially problematic comments, and there's a chance our algorithm incorrectly identifies comments as policy-violating. We are actively working to improve this experience so let me know if there's anything I can share with product in the meantime.

@PinterestGabby The comments for this pin is always stuck at 50 even though I get a handful of comments every week. The comments range from "I love Harry Potter" to "Percy is the best" or "how about Clary from Mortal Instruments". There is nothing being commented on this pin that should trigger a response from Pinterest. Honestly, it just seems like another case where Pinterest specifically targets and limits popular content with the intent to monetize it. This pin is averaging around 750,000 view per every 180 days. And I think the pin is a couple of years old. I suspect all told the pin has been viewed millions of times. Same thing happens on my other popular pins too (where new comments don't show up in the total.) I've only posted once or twice to Pinterest in last several weeks because of platform problems like this. I used to post a dozen times a day. I've decided not to move forward with posting on Pinterest until outstanding issues are addressed. Any chance you can check with the help desk?  There is an open ticket but no one seems to be working on it.

Here's the latest email:

Hi Chris,

My name is Kim and I am a Product Quality specialist. I'm sorry for the trouble you're experiencing. I do notice some issues with getting the comments section to appear on the pin. My team is aware of this issue and we're working to resolve it.

Glitches like these can take some time to fix but please know that we're doing our best to address the problem.

Thanks for your continued patience.

Kim

When I click on the ticket link the ticket is no longer displayed. The link goes to pinterest.okta.com and asks for a password. This has happened to me before and seems to occur when the help desk has closed out or dropped the ticket.

@theburntsunsetnovel do you have the ticket # by chance so I can share with support?

@PinterestGabby

I do not have the ticket number. The links the help desk send me never work. I pulled up a handful of archived emails with other tickets and the links are all dead. It's just another reason why working with the help desk is exhausting. The response time is slow and tickets seem to vanish. Pinterest sent me this link to keep track of my ticket for my most recent issue but it goes to a login screen:

Not sure if this helps but the email reply address was:
