Has anyone tried the new Pinterest Story feature? I am an author, so I've been using it to feature excerpts from one of my novels. I am wondering where the stories show up on user's feeds. I primarily post from mobile and I haven't seen any other stories on that.
Sample of my stories:

thanks,

This feature hasn't been rolled out to everyone yet. I'm still waiting on it to be rolled out on desktop. I have a friend in the UK that has had this feature for over a year. So I'm excited to have it soon. I love that you are using it to tease the first few pages of your book. I'm excited to see how others use stories to promote and sell. Thank you for sharing!
I posted a story last night. It shows for me in the board I posted it to. I hope Pinterest eventually allows us to add a URL to our #stories
How do you do them Chris? I haven't seen them yet except for yours now and it looks good! Thank you.
I love this feature so far, have you been able to post from desktop ? I've only been able to post on mobile. but to answer your question it shows up just like a regular post except the post will have a "story" tag in the upper left hand side of the screen on the right side it will have " 1/5" showing how many images are in the story. The Main difference shows when users visit your profile on mobile. Your profile will have an additional section showcasing all of you past stories.
Chris, thanks for sharing your story pins! I can't tell how many people have seen, clicked, or shared them--what kind of response have you seen from them?
I use photoshop to make the artwork (the model and cover) and I save them down to a jpeg. I rendered the model so that there are at least a dozen different leg, torso, head, hair, and accessory options which yields like a million combinations of poses. The book excerpts come the PDF of the published novel. I post via an iPhone 8.
I posted this story yesterday:

2170 impressions, 50 close ups, 5 saves as of this morning
It was my most popular post yesterday and performed better than my first 3 stories. I am not sure what the long term results will be. My most popular post in the last 30 days was this:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/686587905680756311/
83720 impressions, 41 saves, 14 link clicks in the last 30 days
As you can see, a simpler pin did a lot better.
However these movies I did as an homage to Percy Jackson have done well too:

Obviously Percy Jackson is a far bigger name than my new book series, but if you want to drive traffic to your feed it's important to also feature original content that celebrates an established product.
All posts were made via Photoshop and posted on iPhone 8.
Hi Chris
Just new today but I am preparing my Story Pins - I think you did great and its an awesome idea thank you for sharing I am doing more prepping on my pins because that is just me. I am a Blogger and will be going live shortly so your story pins were super inspirational....Thank You!
Lisa.
I have used story pins; however, I must be blind. I can't seem to find where to add the URL link. Therefore, while I get exposure with the pin, without the URL, it does not drive the traffic back to my website. Did I just miss it somewhere? I had emailed Pinterest about it a few weeks ago, but haven't heard back yet. Here is one of the two I have done. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/658088564288883174/
