Introducing our new unified creation tool: Idea Pins are now Pins!
We recently made some exciting updates to our Pin creation tool! Idea Pins are now Pins – we’re making it easier to create on Pinterest and bringing the best of our new formats to all Pins. You’ll no longer have to choose between creating an Idea Pin or a Pin, because all the features you’ve come to love will be available on all Pins in a single, unified tool. Over the next few months, we're rolling out this exciting change and with it comes some improvements. To learn more about this update, check out our announcement post and FAQ article.
Links on all Pins
We’re thrilled to announce that creators can now add links to all Pins! Starting this month, you have the option to add a link to all Pin types, enabling your audiences to further explore and take action on your ideas. You can link to a blog, website, or even use an affiliate link to unlock more monetization opportunities. You’ll see the option to add a link when you’re adding your finishing touches to your Pins, alongside other information like title and details. If you have a business account, you can see how often people are viewing your Pin and visiting the links you share in Analytics.
Board sticker creation on Android
Android users can now use board stickers as part of their creation experience! Board stickers are a way to provide creators the ability to tag their inspiration sources and related content in their Pins by linking to their own public Pinterest boards. When users click on a board sticker, they will be directed to that board to explore the content. This feature already exists on iOS and is now available on Android platforms.
Save from URL
We’ve made some updates to the Pin creation experience. Since we’ve consolidated all Pins in a single, unified tool, save from URL is going to be available in the new Pin creation flow, which will enable creators to create a Pin from off-platform sites. Pinners will have the option to create using a URL, rather than uploading their own assets. This feature is now available on iOS, Android, and Web.
You asked, we listened! We’re excited to announce that creators now have the option to schedule their Pins to be published at a specific date and time. With this new tool, Pinners will be able to schedule their Pins up to 30 days in advance and can schedule up to 100 Pins. Creators will also be able to edit the date and time after the Pin has been scheduled, and can also edit the title before it’s published. This feature is available on iOS, Android, and Web.
Edit Pins after publishing
Creators are now able to edit their Pins after publishing! This allows creators to edit the title, description, and links. This feature is available on iOS, Android, and Web. Please note that by editing links on any Pins including Idea Pins, you will lose previous community engagement interactions on your post such as reactions and comments.
Animated stickers on Android
Attention Android users! We added new stickers onto the Pin creation flow, including animated stickers. This feature already exists on iOS and is now available on Android.
